Estuary Partnership Stewardship Projects

The Estuary Partnership's Stewardship Program provides citizens of all ages with outdoor educational experiences that connect them to the lower Columbia River. Direct experience with the river and its ecosystems provides opportunities to learn about the river and share in its care, helping us build the personal stewardship needed to improve the Columbia River for future generations. We offer outdoor educational experiences at locations in Oregon and Washington along the lower Columbia River and its tributaries, from Bonneville Dam to the coast.

The Estuary Partnership works with a diverse network of federal, state, regional and local partners to provide meaningful outdoor educational experiences at natural areas including: wildlife refuges; state, regional, county, and local parks; and schoolyards. This site can be used to learn more about where we offer outdoor programs. Teachers may use it to discover field trip locations near their school. Volunteer group leaders may use this site to find locations for on-going volunteer opportunities in their community. Using the filters to the right, different users can narrow their search based on the outdoor experience of their interest, such as on-river big canoe trips or service learning projects. Users can also search for sites by specific activity, such as birding or water quality monitoring. Once your search is narrowed, click on any of the displayed sites for a link to additional details about that site. Finally, if you are interested in a field trip at a location not listed, please contact us as we are often able to accommodate requests at new locations.
