Toxics Monitoring in the Lower Columbia River

There have been numerous studies dedicated to conventional and toxic contaminants monitoring in the Lower Columbia over the years.  However, there is currently no long term, strategic monitoring plan in place throughout the region which can be used to assess trends of these pollutants.  Ongoing data is being collected at a single location only, the Beaver Army Terminal Site near Quincy, OR. The projects included here are limited to recent projects for which the Estuary Partnership maintains data.  More projects will be added as we obtain additional information.

Programs for which the EP currently maintains pollutants data include the Bi-State Water Quality Monitoring Program from 1990-1996, as well as our own toxics and conventional pollutants study which was conducted in 2004-2005 as part of our Ecosystem Monitoring Project. Currently, these data are available at a separate . Google Maps based website. Migration of the data to this site is underway, and we hope to be completed soon.  For additional information on these programs, click here.
